How do I make a camping reservation?

How should I prepare for my camping trip?
For information on check in/out procedures, what to bring, when to arrive, where to park, etc., please download our camping booklet.

Who should I contact if I’m running late or have an emergency?
Please contact the Camping Office at (843) 881-5933 (M-F, 8-4:30). The afterhours Camping Office number is (843) 881-5937. For emergencies or if no one else is available, please call (843) 860-2345. This is a mobile phone answered 24 hours a day by a Public Safety Officer.

Is the entire museum accessible during overnight programs?
Patriots Point is a leading rentals site and often hosts events on the YORKTOWN and surrounding areas. Therefore, there is always a possibility that certain areas may include music, large numbers of guests, and the presence of alcohol with our of-age guests. We will inform you if one of these events coincide with your overnight stay and we ask for cooperation between all guests at Patriots Point.

What are the conduct expectations and responsibility of escorts/leaders?
All groups must be accompanied by an escort or group leader. In case of willful property destruction and/or theft, violators and group leaders will be held fully accountable. Any individuals who violate these rules will be asked to leave the ship.

What safety precautions do you take?
A fire drill is mandated by the State Fire Marshal and is held during the evening of your first night on board. Everyone MUST participate in order to sleep on board. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

Is there a curfew?
Lights out is at 11pm. All campers must remain in berthing quarters from 11pm to 6am.

What amenities are available on the ship?
Berthing areas have individual showers, sinks and toilets. We ask you to refrain from showering during quiet hours (11pm-6am).

Who should we contact about food allergies?
Contact our caterers at (843) 375-1366 or nsnowden@topshelfcateringcompany.com regarding any food allergies or with any questions regarding meals and snacks. The catering staff needs to be notified PRIOR to arrival.

Do you have a souvenir shop?
Of course! Located landside is our Ship Store, where you can find military memorabilia, books, apparel, local Charleston products and more. Don’t forget to stop by on your way out!
