Veteran’s Weekend Living History Exhibit

Join Patriots Point as they begin their Veteran’s Day Celebration the weekend prior to the special day with living history and vintage vehicles! The SC Military Vehicle Preservation Club will have fifteen vintage vehicles including 1940 – 1960- era jeeps - “Willys” – troop transport trucks and a half-track parked landside in addition to uniforms, weapons displays and other military memorabilia for visitors to explore.

Patriots Point will also host two living history detachments on property. Patriots Point Vietnam Living History Detachment will be stationed in the Vietnam Support Base Camp depicting a day in the life of a sailor/marine on a base camp in Vietnam in the 1960’s. Aboard the USS Yorktown in front of the Medal of Honor Museum will be the Parris Island Living History Detachment displaying equipment used while living aboard the Yorktown.
