Living History- The Vietnam War
Jun 29, 2008

The Patriots Point Vietnam Living History Group is made up of military historians dedicated to the preservation and accurate historical interpretation of the War in Vietnam. The group's core mission is to educate the general public about the war and to honor the men and women who sacrificed so much in service to their country.

This late June exhibit recognizes the 40th anniversary of the pivotal Tet offensive.

While many of the aircraft and exhibits, including the aircraft carrier Yorktown were active in the Vietnam era most Living Historian activities will take place inside the Vietnam Support Base replica at Patriots Point.
Visitors will experience Living Historians in detailed, period uniform depicting day to day life for American troops in Vietnam. Equipment used "in country", examples of weapons, even C-Rations bring to life this important period in our nation's history.
