Patriots Point Executive Director Brigadier General Hugh Tant, USA, (Ret.) joined the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and several Medal of Honor recipients on board USS Midway in San Diego for the celebration honoring Mr. Finn.
BG Tant presented Mr. Finn with a proclamation from South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford bestowing the rank of Admiral in the South Carolina Navy.
Mr. Finn is a resident of the San Diego area but Patriots Point and the Charleston area have great affection for Mr. Finn because of his prominence in the Medal of Honor Museum on board USS Yorktown.
