Final preps to get Laffey and Ingham underway!

Notice the gap now located in the marina breakwater to the right, Laffey will be pulled out at high tide next Wednesday with Ingham following on Thursday.

Notice the gap now located in the marina breakwater to the right, Laffey will be pulled out at high tide next Wednesday with Ingham following on Thursday.

Final preps are now underway to prepare Laffey and Ingham for towing. Laffey departs next Wednesday for the Detyen’s shipyard drydock at the old Charleston Navy Base . Her future return will be announced later. Read the News and Courier story here…

Ingham follows on Thursday and is bound eventually to the Truman Annex facility at Key West, Florida, alongside museum ship USCGC Mohawk. Read a Key West news article here…

Notice the sailing ship departing Charleston Harbor in the upper right hand corner,  she is the Danish training vessel Danmark just completing a port visit this week.
