“Pay What You Can” Weekend a Success
Molly Hamilton Jan 06, 2015Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum kicked off the new year with a “Pay What You Can” Weekend January 3-4, 2015. On those days, visitors were asked to pay whatever amount they could afford for parking and admission to the museum.
Despite intermittent rain showers on both days, 811 more people came this year to take advantage of the “Pay What You Can” promotion than last year’s event. There were 2,239 guests on Saturday and 1,493 people on Sunday. By all accounts, the event was a success and many guests were in awe of all of the history on display at our museum.
This is the fourth year this event has been held as a way of giving back to the community that supports Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum throughout the year.
