Whether you are visiting with your family or a large group, you are sure to gain a better understanding and appreciation for our nation’s history as you ‘Walk in the Steps of Heroes.’

  • Self-Guided Tours & General Admission

    With general admission, you can explore the USS YORKTOWN, USS LAFFEY, USS CLAMAGORE, Vietnam Experience, and Medal of Honor Museum at your own pace with self-guided touring. With five tour routes on the YORKTOWN alone, maps and on-site navigation guide you to walk in the steps of the ships' sailors and officers. Learn about the men who powered these great ships by visiting everything from the YORKTOWN's Flight Deck, to the LAFFEY's Mount 53 Experience, and the torpedoes of the CLAMAGORE.

  • Self-Guided Audio Tours

    Tour freely at your own pace as you listen to firsthand accounts from WWII veterans on a personal audio player. With more than 3.5 hours of content and 100 points of interest on the tour, you can pick and choose where you’d like to explore and what you want to hear. A $6 rental fee is required.

  • Guided VIP Group Tours

    Get a behind the scenes look not available to the general public with your own personal tour guide! VIP group tours are only available to groups of 10 or more and must be scheduled 2 weeks prior to your visit. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Choose from a variety of tours available.

    We welcome day groups for a visit that includes FREE bus parking and FREE admission for the tour escort and driver.   • Overnight Groups

    Give your youth group a hands-on glimpse of maritime and military life – and action-packed, interactive lessons in astronomy, aviation, history, and oceanography aboard a true piece of American history. Campers sleep in authentic ship berthing quarters, eat meals in true Navy fashion in the Chief Petty Officers’ Mess Hall and are free to explore the USS YORKTOWN, USS CLAGAMORE submarine and USS LAFFEY destroyer.   • Helicopter Tours

    Fly-In Helicopters at Patriots Point offers exclusive tours of the Holy City that is a "must do" for any visitor. Flights ranging from 5-20 minutes over the Charleston Harbor, the USS YORKTOWN, and surrounding beaches provide breathtaking views and photo opportunities that even locals enjoy. Tours are available daily, weather permitting, from 10am - 5pm or until all ticketed flights are completed. Purchase tickets at the Patriots Point ticket window or online.
