2022 – 2023 Educator Science Café Series: “Times… They are A Changin’”
Educators are invited to join Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum and the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium for our next FREE science café series, “Times…They Are A Changin.’” During this series, we will investigate the impacts and adaptations of our ever-changing world – from nature to technology to the economics of agriculture and food, you won’t want to miss out! Each café welcomes guest scientists to share their expertise in a round-table group discussion, and will be hosted either in-person at a local Charleston venue or offered virtually. Classroom-related lessons and supplementary information will be provided relating to S.C. standards. All cafés are offered free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Renewal credits are available

If you are currently teaching or hold a South Carolina teaching certificate and are looking for recertification credits, our 2023 installment of “Education that Expands Beyond the Classroom” is for you!
This year’s theme, People and Places: World-Class Knowledge with Global Perspective, will allow for a deep dive into the voices and geographic regions of WWII and how they can support learning in ELA, Science and Math.
