ANNUAL TEACHERS RECERTIFICATION

“Education that Expands Beyond the Classroom” is the theme of our Annual Summer Teacher’s Recertification Conference. This conference is approved by the South Carolina State Department of Education allowing teachers to acquire 20 recertification credits. Patriots Point’s Institute of History, Science and Technology has trained almost one hundred teachers each summer from all over the state since beginning this program. The two-day conference gives teachers a chance to meet other colleagues, explore other subjects, give input as to academic needs, and sleep and walk where heroes have been. Over 14 workshops are provided for them to attend and be stimulated and exposed to new ideas. Workshops cover areas such history, science, math and literacy, just to name a few. Our goal is to inform and inspire each of them as they depart to begin another academic year. Email [email protected] for more information about the teacher conference.
