Park Ridge Christian completes whirlwind tour of Patriots Point's education programs
Waring Hills Jun 03, 2009Back in May, 06-08, Park Ridge Christian school arrived at Patriots Point for a round robin tour of all our education programs (I think this was a FIRST). During their time here, they completed the Beach Program, oceanography, aviation and astronomy programs. The leader for the group was Sue Drake (her father was a Naval Aviator and she is a pilot herself) and you can see all her pictures here. They had a great time completing all our programs and a wonderful group to visit us…we look for them back next spring.
Here we are on the beach at Sullivan’s Island discussing the geography and history of Charleston Harbor.
The Star Spangled Banner (15 stripes and stars) flies above Fort Moultrie.

Here we complete our aviation class on the flight deck of USS Yorktown, note the F-4J Phantom in the background.
The end of a long day ends by looking at Saturn through a 5 inch reflecting telescope during our astronomy class.
