“Eric brings a wealth of valuable experience to this position, and we are confident he is the right person to lead our marketing and communications team at this exciting time as we plan for the future of the agency and museum,” said Patriots Point Executive Director Allison Hunt.
“I’m proud to be joining an organization with a strong mission,” said Monteiro. “I look forward to helping Patriots Point honor our heroes and educate the community about patriotism, service and sacrifice.”
The USS Yorktown Foundation has hired Meaghan Silsby as director of development. A graduate of the College of Charleston, Silsby has spent the last several years in Washington, D.C., where she served in key roles with the City Year Washington, D.C., Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
“It’s an honor to be part of an organization that helps to keep our nation’s military history alive and supports Patriots Point’s critical mission,” said Silsby. “I’m excited to work alongside an impressive and inspired Board as we develop new partnerships to support the museum and its goals.”
