Plan Your Fall Visit to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum

Mayci Rechner Sep 13, 2021

Whether you’re planning a fall vacation or stay-cation, Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum should be on the top of your itinerary. We are proud to share more than 1,000,000 square feet of exhibits, including the USS Yorktown, USS Laffey and Vietnam Experience.

Feel confident in your visit with Patriots Point’s added safety measures. We highly encourage visitors to wear face coverings. The expansive spaces make social distancing easy and signage throughout Patriots Point encourages visitors to keep six feet apart. The museum also has ultraviolet light air purifiers that sanitize the air in climate-controlled exhibits. The custodial staff works to ensure public areas are cleaned, and more than a dozen hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the museum ships, gift shop, and Vietnam Experience.

Reservations are not required, but we encourage visitors to utilize touch-less ticketing. Buying tickets online allows visitors to skip the line at the ticket window. Even if your plans change, all online tickets can be used within a year of purchase.

Visitors can explore areas of the ship that are typically off-limits in the Captain’s Tour. This guided tour is offered Friday through Sunday.

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last tickets are sold at 4 p.m.

Does the daily ticket price allow unlimited on/off reentry to the Yorktown? Or is it just good for one entry? We are planning a visit next week.

      Hello Edwin,
Our tickets are good for one day admission. You are welcome to come and go throughout at day, just make sure you hold on to your ticket for reentry to the museum. We look forward to your visit!
