Context
Built by Sikorsky Aircraft, the SH-3 Sea King is an anti-submarine warfare helicopter with a twin-engine design and turboshaft engines. The Sea King was originally ordered by the US Navy to combat Soviet-era submarines during the Cold War but also performed transport, search and rescue, and medevac operations. The Sea King served in the US Navy from 1961 to 2006.
