The Flatley Heroes Raffle
In honor of Rear Admiral James “Jim” Flatley III and the extraordinary Flatley family legacy of service, leadership, and dedication to our nation, the USS Yorktown Foundation is proud to introduce the Flatley Heroes Raffle.
The Flatley family’s connection to Patriots Point spans generations, beginning with Vice Admiral James “Jimmy” H. Flatley Jr., a decorated WWII Navy fighter ace and Air Group Commander aboard the USS Yorktown, and continuing through Admiral Jim Flatley III’s leadership and service to Patriots Point and the Foundation. Today, that legacy continues through retired Navy fighter pilot James “Seamus” Flatley IV and the family’s ongoing commitment to honoring those who served.
This exciting new fundraiser gives everyone a chance to win cash prizes while directly supporting the mission of the USS Yorktown Foundation. Winners will be drawn at the Holes Fore Heroes Tournament on October, 5 2026.

Westbrook Beer Partnership
The USS Yorktown Foundation has partnered with Westbrook Brewing Company to create a new brew just in time for summer, Shore Leave Lager. The name refers to the time sailors were permitted to go ashore – to take leave of their ship and spend time on dry land. The beer is inspired by the sailors of the USS Yorktown and their impromptu beach parties on the shores of Pacific. Rumor has it that a Yorktown pilot once flew a clandestine case up to high altitude to “chill it to perfection!”
At Patriots Point, history lives on through tangible artifacts. Teaming up with local organizations like Westbrook Brewing adds a delightful and unique dimension to our endeavors in a meaningful way. Our ongoing partnership with local businesses not only expands our mission but cultivates fresh support.
A portion of all proceeds from Shore Leave Lager will support the USS Yorktown Foundation's mission to inspire children, visitors, and the world by promoting America's longstanding traditions of service, leadership, duty, and sacrifice through education, exhibits, programming, and community outreach. You can purchase the beer at Lowes Foods or at Westbrook Brewery.
