Art of Valor

Art of Valor is an annual event hosted in partnership with the Patriot Art Foundation. Veterans are invited aboard the USS Yorktown for a day of watercolor painting instruction, a live painting demonstration, camaraderie, and more.

Painting Workshop | 10am

Thirty local veterans will be able to participate in a painting workshop led by renowned artist, Mary Whyte. This event will be live-streamed from the Yorktown to the The United States Army Museum in Fort Belvoir, VA where veterans will also be participating in the event. All art materials, instruction and lunch are provided at no cost. Registration is required at info@patriotartfoundation.org. 

Live Painting Demonstration | 1pm

Following the workshop, visitors are invited to watch a live painting demonstration from Mary Whyte in the Harbor Room on the USS Yorktown. 

Patriots Point will offer veterans and their immediate families free admission to the museum in recognition of their dedicated service and sacrifice.
