Navy 250th Anniversary Celebration
Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will commemorate the U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary with a special day of celebration aboard the historic aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CV-10). In honor of the occasion, Patriots Point is offering $3 off all general admission tickets purchased in person on October 11.
At 12:00 p.m., a ceremonial cake cutting will take place in Hangar Bay 1 on the USS Yorktown, marking both the Navy’s 250th birthday and the enduring legacy of Yorktown sailors.
Following the ceremony, at 1:00 p.m., Mark C. Fava—author of Lessons from the Admiral: Naval Wisdom and Sea Stories for Leaders—will deliver a speech and host a book signing in the Smokey Stover Theater.
