Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum invites the community to come aboard the USS Yorktown this Veterans Day to honor and celebrate those who have served our nation. Join us on Tuesday, November 11, for a day of reflection, gratitude, and giving back.

At 1 p.m., don’t miss a special performance by The Citadel’s elite Summerall Guards as they present their iconic precision rifle drill in tribute to America’s veterans. Guests are also encouraged to support our Veterans Day donation drive benefiting Operation Homefront, an organization dedicated to helping military families in need.

Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, or a supporter, Veterans Day at Patriots Point offers a meaningful opportunity to come together in tribute and remembrance. Explore our historic ships, connect with local veterans, and take part in a day dedicated to the heroes who have safeguarded our freedom.

Museum Admission - Tuesday, November 11

In recognition of their service and sacrifice, all U.S. military veterans, active-duty personnel—including members of the National Guard and Coast Guard—and their immediate family members will receive complimentary admission to Patriots Point on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

In addition, guests who donate to our Veterans Day Donation Drive in support of Operation Homefront will receive a $3 voucher toward general museum admission.

Veterans Day Donation Drive

This Veterans Day, Patriots Point is proud to partner with Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit organization that builds strong, stable, and secure military families by providing critical financial assistance, housing, and supportive programs. Since 2002, Operation Homefront has helped thousands of service members and veterans overcome short-term challenges and thrive in their communities.

Together, we’re inviting our visitors and neighbors to make a difference for those who have given so much in service to our country. On Tuesday, November 11, Operation Homefront staff will be onsite at Patriots Point to collect donations that will directly support veterans and military families in need.

Donation Items Needed

• Non-perishable food items (canned goods, soups, beans, pasta, rice, etc.)
• Small children's toys

All donation items can be dropped off at the museum entrance during event hours (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Operation Homefront representatives will be onsite to receive your contributions and share more about their mission. 

Citadel Summerall Guard

At 1 p.m. on November 11, the Citadel Summerall Guards will perform a precision rifle drill on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown. Don’t miss this moving tribute to our veterans—an unforgettable display of discipline, dedication, and pride in service.
