Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will celebrate the return of the USS LAFFEY with a series of events April 13 – 15. The public is invited to attend to pay tribute to ‘The Ship That Would Not Die’ – the most decorated WWII-era destroyer still in existence. Starlight Pops has been a Lowcountry tradition for more than 25 years. This year’s event will begin at sundown and will feature a tribute to Broadway by the Charleston Symphony Orchestra (CSO), under the direction of Alex Agrest. The performance will include selections from Mamma Mia, Chicago, Guys & Dolls, Annie and West Side Story. This year, Lowcountry vocalist Nancy Clayton Lefter will join the CSO for several songs.
