USS Yorktown Annual Memorial Service

Each year, members of the USS Yorktown Association gather for a reunion that includes a memorial service to remember all of the USS Yorktown veterans who have died, particularly those who have died since the last reunion. This will be the 69th annual USS Yorktown Association Reunion and the memorial service is open to the public.
The service, held on Friday, October 13 from 9-10 a.m., will include a tolling of the bell for each member who has died the past year and a few family members will cast the ashes of their loved ones into the harbor next the beloved ship of their USS Yorktown veteran.
The ceremony will be held in Hangar Bay I onboard the USS Yorktown and is included in the regular price of admission for those who are not attending the reunion.
