Planning Your Visit During the Pandemic
Mayci Rechner Feb 25, 2022Whether you’re planning a vacation or stay-cation, Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum should be on the top of your itinerary. We are proud to share more than 1,000,000 square feet of exhibits, including the USS Yorktown, USS Laffey and Vietnam Experience. Reservations are not required, but we encourage visitors to utilize touch-less ticketing. Buying tickets online allows visitors to skip the line at the ticket window. Even if your plans change, all online tickets can be used within a year of purchase.
Feel confident in your visit with our enhanced safety measures. Expansive spaces make social distancing easy and signage throughout Patriots Point encourages visitors to keep six feet apart. The museum also utilizes ultraviolet light air purifiers to sanitize the air in climate-controlled exhibits. The custodial staff works to ensure public areas are cleaned, and more than a dozen hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the museum ships, gift shop, and Vietnam Experience.
If you are looking to go “behind the scenes” and in areas not included in self-guided admission, consider adding a guided Captain’s Tour to your plan. Click here for more information and to check availability.
Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is open every day from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Our ticketing office closes daily at 5 p.m.
OPERATION OVERNIGHT
Operation Overnight, the program that allows groups to sleep aboard the historic USS Yorktown is booking now! The program is currently operating at less than 50% capacity. Assigned berthing (sleeping) areas are limited to members of the same group and are sanitized between reservations.

Hi are masked required?
Hello, masks are recommended but not required.
A group of senior adults would like to experience this. However, we are a group of 4, not ten. Your group size is 10, but would you accept a smaller group size? Thank you!
Hi Samantha, Are you referring to Operation Overnight? At this time the experience is only open to groups of 10+. We hope to offer a family weekend in the future to allow smaller groups to participate. We will share that information on our website and social media pages when details are finalized.
