    Patriots Point is located on Charleston Harbor at the base of the Ravenel Bridge and just 5 minutes from downtown Charleston.

    Eastbound on I-26 / Northbound on Hwy 17: Hwy 17N to Mt. Pleasant exit and cross over the Ravenel Bridge, at foot of Bridge, merge right onto Coleman Blvd (703). At first traffic light on Coleman, turn right onto Patriots Point Road.

    Southbound on Hwy 17: Hwy 17S to Mt. Pleasant. Continue on 17S and turn left at traffic light onto McGrath Darby Blvd. Continue straight on McGrath Darby Blvd to next traffic light. Continue straight at traffic light to Patriots Point Road.

    By Water: You can also reach Patriots Point by water. Charleston Water Taxi runs seasonally. Contact them for taxi schedules and prices. www.charlestonwatertaxi.com

    • Fourth of July: Last general admission ticket sold at 3:30 p.m., museum closes normal touring at 5 p.m. for Fourth of July Fireworks Blast event.
    • Thanksgiving Day: Last ticket sold at 2:00 p.m., museum closes at 3:30 p.m.
    • Christmas Eve: Last ticket sold at 2:00 p.m., museum closes at 3:30 p.m.
    • Christmas Day: Closed to the public.
    • New Years Eve: Last ticket sold at 2:00 p.m., museum closes at 3:30 p.m.
  • Ship Store Gift Shop

    OPEN FROM 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.

    Located landside of the YORKTOWN, the Ship Store offers a wide variety of military memorabilia, shirts, caps, unique gifts and souvenirs. Check out the extensive collection of military books, unique Charleston mementos, fine jewelry, and more.

  • Food

    The Fighting Lady Café

    The Fighting Lady Café serves lunch Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. seasonally. Menu options include appetizers, sandwiches, salads, barbecue platters and desserts. Located in the original CPO Galley, the cafe is climate controlled and offers table-side service.

    Sticky Fingers Snack Shack

    There are two Sticky Fingers Snack Shacks at Patriots Point. Located conveniently in Hangar Bay 3 and landside of the YORKTOWN, the snack bars feature a selection of barbecue, wings, and more from the legendary local restaurant. Guests can sit and enjoy their food on the outdoor sponson of the YORKTOWN, with a perfect view of the LAFFEY.

  • Accessibility

    To assist visitors with physical challenges, an elevator is available aboard the USS YORKTOWN providing access to the Hangar Bay Level, Flight Deck and Quarters.

    At this time, the USS LAFFEY and USS CLAMAGORE may be difficult for guests with physical limitations and they are not wheelchair accessible.

  • Parking

    Parking is available for $5.00 per day per vehicle.
    Free parking is available for all buses in our designated bus parking lot.
    There is no parking fee for those camping overnight aboard the USS YORKTOWN.

    As you complete your visit to Patriots Point, stop by Photogenic for your unique souvenir photography package. Professional photographers capture the moment for your family or group. A portion of each photography purchase provides funding for exhibit expansion, ship maintenance, and programming at Patriots Point.
