Patriots Point is located along the waterfront in
beautiful Charleston Harbor.

Eastbound on I-26 / Northbound on Hwy 17 - Hwy 17N to Mt. Pleasant exit and cross over the Ravenel Bridge, at foot of Bridge, merge right onto Coleman Blvd(703). At first traffic light on Coleman, turn right onto Bud Darby Lane. Follow Bud Darby Lane until it ends and becomes Patriots Point Road.

Southbound on Hwy 17 - Hwy 17S to Mt. Pleasant. Continue on 17S and turn left at traffic light onto McGrath Darby Blvd. Continue straight on McGrath Darby Blvd to next traffic light. Continue straight at traffic light onto Bud DarbyLane. Bud Darby Lane ends and becomes Patriots Point Road.

By Water - You can also reach Patriots Point by water. Charleston Water Taxi runs seasonally. Contact them for taxi schedules and prices.

The Fighting Lady Café

The Fighting Lady Café serves lunch Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Menu options include appetizers, sandwiches, salads, barbecue platters and a choice of several desserts.

Located in the original CPO Galley, the café is air conditioned and offers table-side service.

Snack Bar

The two snack bars at Patriots Point are Sticky Fingers Smokehouse Express locations. The legendary local barbecue restaurant features award-winning barbecue, burgers and more from these locations conveniently located landside and in the Hangar Bay.

Yorktown Audio Tours


Make your visit to the Yorktown an EXPERIENCE with the Yorktown Audio Tour.

For a small fee, rent your own personal audio player that will allow you to hear exclusive stories about the ship and her crew, including first-hand WWII Veteran accounts. You can tour freely at your own pace. The audio tour allows you to be in control of where you go on the ship, and only plays what you want to hear. There are more than 3 1/2 hours of content and 100 points of interest.

Experience the awe-inspiring YORKTOWN from a completely unique perspective.

While flight operations have long since ceased from the flight deck of the "Fighting Lady," Patriots Point offers an exclusive tour of Charleston harbor that is a "must do" for any visitor. Flights ranging from 5-20 minutes over USS Yorktown, Charleston Harbor, and surrounding beaches provide breathtaking views and photo opportunities that even locals enjoy. If you have never been up in a light aircraft or helicopter over Charleston Harbor it is well worth it to see one of the most beautiful harbors in the world from 600 feet.

Operating hours: 10am - 5pm daily (weather permitting).

No reservations necessary. Purchase tickets at Patriot's Point ticket window. Each flight must include at least two people but no more than three.

To assist visitors with physical challenges, an elevator is available to reach the USS YORKTOWN hangar deck level.

The ship itself has an elevator for handicapped and special needs guests.

At this time, the submarine USS CLAMAGORE may be difficult for guests with physical limitations.

Video presentations are available for visitors with special needs at the Information Desk.
