Girl Scout Day 2018

The Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina and Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum are joining together to offer GIRL SCOUT DAY on June 2, 2018 aboard the historic USS Yorktown.  Tickets are $25 per Girl Scout and $15 for parents. In addition to the special events of the day, each Girl Scout gets to choose to participate in one of our amazing educational programs including:

• Puddle Jumpers Ages 6-9: Scouts will complete three fun learning stations: fly a simulated F35-B on one of our six flight simulators, build and test fly a glider, and tour a WWII airplane.
• Flight Academy: Ages 10+: In this program, scouts are immersed in aviation adventure aboard the awe-inspiring aircraft carrier USS YORKTOWN. They will soar as pilot or co-pilot in our Lockheed Martin F-35 simulators, and execute an exciting mission in other flight-related roles, working with their team member.
• Marine Science: Scouts are introduced to regional organisms that LIVE in our wet lab with our DinoXcope microscopic projection system. Hands-on activities will teach students how to make observations like scientists.
• Virtual Reality Space mission: Scouts are transformed into astronauts and will explore the universe like never before. Using 360-degree virtual reality optic technology, astronauts navigate the galaxy in a custom transporter on a mission to Planet X.
