USS Laffey Memorial Service

This month marks the 79th anniversary of the Battle of Okinawa, where the USS Laffey earned the nickname “The Ship That Would Not Die.” Patriots Point invites our community to a memorial service on the USS Laffey on April 16 at 11:30 a.m. to honor the 32 fallen sailors who gave their lives on the ship on that fateful day. The commemoration will include a reading of the names of the fallen, a moment of silence, and a ceremonial wreath toss.
Patriots Point will offer free admission for those attending the ceremony, starting at 10:30 a.m.
